My male cat quite often raids my vegetable rack of all the greens, he'll gladly eat mange tout, asparagus, cabage etc. It's not that he's hungry, because I feed him like clockwork twice a day. Is it normal for a cat to do this?

Where is our relationship going?

My wife and I have been together for 15 years (married for 5 years). We have been together since highschool and we are now in our early 30's. We have one newborn child together. We used to do things together a lot before having our new born child. However, since she has been pregnant we have not really had ual because I thought I had ED. Apparently the doctors think I'm ok but I don't think I am the same as I used to be, meaning it takes me a while to really get . I feel I still love her but i'm wondering if she feels the same way towards me. She spends a lot of her time with her mom and her sister. A typical week consist of work, come home, pick up the baby and we eat dinner together and talk for a total of one hour before we go to bed around 10:30pm. A weekend typically consist of cleaning the house, chores, & she spends time with her mom. Her mom visits on average about 3 days a week. I love my in laws but sometimes I wish her mom can have a life of her own. We bicker a little and sometimes it turns into an argument. I feel we are drifting apart because we don't spend time with each other. I love the outdoors and I love being active. I'm always proposing stuff to do together but she doesn't do the same. I feel I am always initaiting stuff to do but she seems to pay attention to the baby more than me. And if we can plan anything because her mom usually gets to her before me when planning to do something. Jeep Commander for Teen?

To this date and seeing 5 Commanders, I have seen retired couples and family driving them. I also suggest doing all the research possible, V-6 over V-8, safety, recalls on them. When I bought my brand new Jeep I researched the snot out of it. Recall history, customer reviews, even joining a forum for the vehicle I purchased. I've heard good and then I've heard bad things about the Commander. I think for a first vehicle it is a little much. I like the fact your looking at used. Why not try looking at something smaller. My mother makes me feel so guilty?

How do I cope with the guilt I constantly feel from my mother? She either explicitly or implicitly implies the whole time I am not seeing her often enough, not close enough, not kind enough, not calling her often enough, etc etc. My Dad died 2 years ago and I am an only child. I have always been quite close with my parents in some ways, but I would say enmeshed would be a more accurate word than truly close. We have never had a very equal or adult type relationship. I have never felt able to share my problems or deeper feelings with my mother. She has always been a stressy/anxious kind of influence, rather than a calming, maternal influence. Looking back I think she lacked real maternal instinct in some ways. She would be totally shocked and devastated to hear me say that, because she would feel she did a good job and seems to blame me for any inadequacies in our relationship (I'm cold, I'm hard, I don't love her, I'm not attentive enough, etc). She naturally adopts the victim role. After my Dad died she and I had a lot of trouble finding the new balance in our relationship. For the first year or more I was seeing her more than once a week. There is no doubt this was (is) an awful trauma for her. My Dad was everything to her and his death was utterly devastating for her. I felt enormously sorry for her and perhaps as a result I totally failed to set boundaries. Soon I felt like I was drowning in her bitterness and resentment. She has a 'life has been mean to me' attitude, an almost zero social network, and she just allowed herself to vomit out all her pain and anger all over me, exclusively. I am not afraid of people's emotions and had she found a way to be sad with me, I could have coped. Her way was to be sad AT me. Eventually when I felt totally suffocated and miserable and I was at the point where I would have to break off all contact with her to preserve my own sanity, I tried to have it out with her and make her understand what her behaviour was doing to me. It was partially effective, she backed off a bit, but gradually some of the same problems have returned this year. I have been partially successful at setting better boundaries, but she still has the power to ruin my day. I would like to find a way to control my own guilt reaction, because I have come to the conclusion that I basically will be unable to alter her behaviours.

i'm really desperate :( ok, i went to a small private school, there were only 7 in my grade (6th) my best friend (Carlie) liked are best friend (Reid) we all sat at one table. I'm in a student teacher aide program where I go downstairs in the last 2 hours of school to help the teacher. The teacher writes all the kids names on the boards. If they are misbehaving she adds a red, orange, or green check to the kids name. The kids can redeem themselves, but if it's a red, they have to work harder than if it was a green. If they get 3 checks they have to sit in the corner for 10 minutes. At the end of the day, if they have no checks they get a little toy. If they have one, they stay a few minutes after talking to the teacher, if they have two, they have to do something nice (like clean the floors in the room after school), and if they have three or more the parents are contacted. Do you think this is a good system? I sort of have mixed feelings on it.

California loves out of state students, because you will be paying higher tuition ;) The fact that you did poorly in high school certainly will not help your chances, but there's no reason to dwell on that, because there's nothing you can do about it now. You did very well in community college, and this will matter to them. They look for well rounded people. That comes in all shapes and sizes: sports, SGA, volunteer work, anything that interests YOU. I would recommend a GPA certainly above a 3.0, but closer to a 3.5. I got into UC Davis (only UC I applied to) with a 4.26 and know people with lower that didn't get it. The UC system is very hard to get into for in state people, but as I said, it should be easier for you.

University of Colorado cross country: Mission Impossible?

CU has a really really good xc/distance team, yes they are nationally ranked and it would be hard to get on the team with a 22min 5k. but of you continue running and consistantly training im sure you will lower your time. i dont know anyone who goes there, but i know a few people who go to CSU and their 5k times are in the 17s. CSU and CU are about the same level, both really big DI schools and competing a lot against eachother. If you really like CU you should go there and just run on your own, there are a lot of races in Boulder that you can run to keep racing. So if you really like the school go there cuz its a really nice place and dont let running xc change your opinion compeltely because with your time i dont think you'll make the team. you would have to lower you time alot to run in college. im looking at some DII, DIII, and NAIA schools in college and almost all of them want you to break 20min or be close to that, but im sure theres some schools that would take you if you really want to run.

Well there a few problems that would have to be overcome. The first would be that it is cheaper to eat bad food than nutritious quality food, unfortunately that probably isn't going to change since the production of 80% our food, including dairy and meat is controlled by a handful of large corporations who have systematically eradicated the competition over the years and can virtually charge what they want now. The second would be the laziness, just the complete and total laziness of the average US citizen. It's embarring how little exercise the average person gets on a daily basis. The majority of health problems could be cleared up if only people would diet and exercise down to their proper weight and were no longer obese. Our health care costs would also go down as a result. Third would be lack of time to dedicate time to proper exercise and nutrition. Eating healthy on a budget is difficult, it takes time, dedication and preparation, that not everyone can see making the time for.

Oh my girlie! If your water hasn't broke, I know they can try to prolong labor, it's up to your doctor for how long though. He may just try to get you through to next week at 36 and then let you go. Your definitely lucky if you can go into labor naturally early without having to be induced, they say the pain is so much more intense having to be induced. HELP 2 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER CONSTIPATED =(?

Hi my 2 month old daughter has been constipated for a month now and her pediatrician has told me to give her a ounce of Prune juice and it will help her push easier. I tried that & it worked but besides that shes still constipated , i really need help most parents know about this & has experienced it, but my pediatrician told me to try giving her a ounce of water mixed with a T spoon of brown sugar but thats if shes still constipated so i did and it didnt work at all she neva made a bowel movement. My daughter constantly cries with tears in her eyes from bad gas and i believe so that her muscles arent strong enough to push on her own to make a bowel movement. The pediatrician has told me its okay to use a thermometer with a little bit of baby vaseline to help her push and i have been doing that and thats the only way it works for her to make a bowel movement cause she starts to push. =( please help meee i dont wanna have to keep using this thermometer on her & end up hurting her everytime she has to make a bowel movement. Had I been correctly advised as to the procedure I might have chosen not to register unemployed and taken advantage of my holiday pay by taking a holiday. Notwithstanding the rules regarding benefit, the law provides that I am entitled to 20 days paid holiday each year. This applies to a whole year and I regard my denial of entitlement as 'reverse benefit fraud'. During the 'unpaid' week I ought to have been entitled to some benefit but was denied.
