Why do employers have the right to discriminate against those with criminal records?

Because once the line has already been crossed, it is much easier to cross it a second time, jail time or no. Not only do companies have to protect their own ets, but can you imagine the lawsuits when a convicted rapist follows a coworker home and s them?
