I want to be a Music Artist. But how?

Ok so, I started singing when I was in 3rd grade. My friends said I was really good and we made a band. We were voting who was who. Except we couldn't decide. We got to role-singer. All of a sudden everyone points and looks at me. So that made me want to be an artist. Ever since our band broke up due to disorganizing, I was on my own. And I just play Cello and Violin, but they don't help. And you know those programs that have beats on it? And actually make you record your song? Can anyone give me a link to a FREE good download?
