I need YOUR opinion on a book I'm writing! Of the following which would be best for my book?

If it was me, I'd go the lazy way about it and not even explain how it got started. I think a natural disaster sounds the best. That, or biological warfare. Only certain people survived because there was a gene resistant to the strain of whatever was released.
