Why do some remain atheists, even when told about people being healed in Lourdes of cancer blindness MS etc,?

im a christian but i know many atheist. all the atheist i know think that there is a scientific theory for everything. no matter how much of a miracle things are they believe that something scientific has caused it. that's just the people I know, not all atheist, since atheist all have there own reasons and beliefs.
