Jeep Commander for Teen?

To this date and seeing 5 Commanders, I have seen retired couples and family driving them. I also suggest doing all the research possible, V-6 over V-8, safety, recalls on them. When I bought my brand new Jeep I researched the snot out of it. Recall history, customer reviews, even joining a forum for the vehicle I purchased. I've heard good and then I've heard bad things about the Commander. I think for a first vehicle it is a little much. I like the fact your looking at used. Why not try looking at something smaller. Like Jeep Cherokee, or Grand Cherokee. I think those would be great for a first vehicle. You can always make a Commander your goal for getting out of high school/going into college gift (if you plan on going to college). That's a two year goal.
