Was the war in Iraq really worth it?

This damn war has bankrupted the entire country. There were no WMD's over there, nor did Hussein have any links to Al-Qaida. We didn't think he was such a bad guy when Reagan and Papa Bush supported him. We didn't believe he was evil when he used those weapons that we gave him to gas the Kurds. We thought he was an okay guy when Cheney did business with him. But then he was evil again after we couldn't find Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan where we should have stayed. This war has done nothing but run the country into the ground. Pork-barrel spending on defense is what caused the Soviet Union to fall. It looks like that's where we're headed now. I hope you're all happy now. With the amount of money we've squandered on this war, we could have repaired the entire country's infrastructure twice over. Our roads, sewer lines, bridges, levees, and dams are so outdated. So are our power lines. They are now reaching their age limits. Need I remind everyone about the East Coast in 2003, New Orleans in 2005, and Minneapolis in 2007 to remind you? I can promise you the Iraqis were no more evil than the Sudanese wiping out the Darfurians. But that's different because there's no oil involved. Over one million innocent Iraqis have died. Too many soldiers have come home in coffins for a few men's greed, and we let Osama Bin Laden get away. So, tell me folks! Was the war really worth it in the long run?
