How long do i have to wait?!?

i recently got off the pill because i was suffering major depression (yasmin)... my husband and i decided we wanted to try to conceive (2 months off the pill). We had right before, during, and after ovulation (the right time right?). I have been having every symptom (except nausea) but it may just be in my head? do you usually imagine you are pregnant or are you usually right? how long do i have to wait to take the test?! (can i take it the day my period is supposed to come or do i have to wait until after?)
